Back from the 2009 ISCA Caricature Convention

We’re back from an inspiring week in Ohio at the International Society of Caricature Artists 2009 convention. Over 230 artists from around the world (from Austrailia, New Zealand, Japan, Holland, Britian, and so many more) attended this year, making it the largest ever.

We had a blast meeting so many new friends and catching up with fellow artists we already knew.

While at the convention, we sold several more copies of our book on breaking into the live digital caricature market. Angie also made her 21-inch Cintiq digital touch screen tablet available for other artists to try out. I wish we had a commission with Wacom!

We would also like to thank everyone who voted for Angie for the Outstanding Digital Technique award (shown in the picture below). It was an honor to come in second and she extends her deepest thanks for this recognition. Congratulations to Matt and Yuko for winning first and third, respectively! Great job!

Scott helps companies deliver their message and create content for audiences across the country. His company, Reels in Motion, has contributed to visual effects in multiple films. Scott continues to push the technological envelope in multiple arenas, from programing iPhone Applications to live greenscreen visual effects.
