I just finished another fun promotional video for a client. John Pizzi is a very funny comedian/ventriloquist who features several ‘smaller parters’ and even some life size vents. He has a New York background and we wanted to incorporate that into the video.

Since he used several different characters, I thought it would be appropriate to have a miniature Times Square. So I created a complete model of Times Square and used the numerous video screens to help show off his many talents. We start off at a low perspective on a car to show how big his show is, then pull out to reveal the model.

The 3D models were created and animated in modo. This was then brought into After Effects (even importing the 3D camera) to add some more effects and create a very distinct look for his video.
