One of the most gratifying parts of producing visually compelling promotional videos for entertainers is that I am blessed to have the wonderful opportunity to see so many live acts that cross many genres. Live entertainment is something that is a marvel to see and in this case, is a show to be remembered.

I had the great opportunity to produce the 2009 Promotional Video for the SOS (Show-Off Show) featuring Jonathan Burns and Evan Young. These two guys play off each other’s comedic ability and skillset perfectly, creating a show that is unique and hilarious.

After filming their one hour show, the toughest part is choosing which segments to add to the roughly 3 minute video. And there lies the dilemma of all editors; what to cut. Having a good act makes my job more difficult since I am drowning in great footage.

The result is the promo video that is shown below. The raw video was edited in Final Cut before it was brought into After Effects CS4 to be given the ‘graphics treatment.’ Enjoy!
