{ Digital Media Made Fun }
Angie

Written by Angie

This is the fourth screencast in my ‘Painter Series.’ As mentioned in the other three, the Official Painter Magazine featured my art study tutorials in the current issue (32).

I decided to have some fun with this one, as the subject “sitting” for me was my beautiful dog, Zoe! She was drawn like the others, on my Wacom Cintuq 21UX digital drawing tablet.

This video was crunched from an evening’s worth of drawing down to about 10 minutes. We wanted to keep the video short enough to be watchable in one sitting and also slow enough for you to be able to watch my brush selections, color choices, and drawing technique.

My husband and I rescued Zoe from a shelter in Harrisburg last year after she was brought up to Pennsylvania from a Virginia shelter. While they aren’t a hundred percent sure of exactly what kind of dog she is, we do know she is mostly shepherd and possibly a black lab. We think the shepherd might even be Belgian Shepherd, especially the way she runs!

I should also mention that if you’d like to read more about my art study, you can purchase a copy of Issue 32 of the Official Corel Painter Magazine website.

And here is the final image in a higher quality:

Angie, I think this piece and the video are both terrific, just like you! The only suggestion I would venture is to add some soft musci in the background and maybe a voice over explaining a bit of what you art doing.

    I just wanted to say good job on the site! I was clicking around on some different blogs when I found your site. After spending some time on this blog I’ve come up with some ideas for my weblog. I just thought I’d let you in on it

    I’m really impressed. How long did you need to finish this picture?
