Digital Caricature Tutorial Published in Corel Painter Magazine
The most recent issue of the Official Painter Magazine features my art study tutorial. I was commissioned to do four subjects and document me techniques using Corel Painter. This art study follows last months interview in Painter Magazine about my Original Live Digital Caricatures.
Drawing with my Cintiq 21UX digital drawing tablet, I created Leonardo da Vinci in the style of the Mona Lisa, with a digital twist.
I highly recommend that you pick up a copy of Issue 32 of the Official Corel Painter Magazine to see all the great artwork from many other artists from around the world, as well as read my own art study. Issue 31 has my interview about Live Digital Caricatures and has many other samples of my work.
You may have to allow this video to buffer a little since it’s a big file. Many artists have emailed me asking for a screencast tutorial similar to the one I did of Tom Richmond. However, the biggest request was that they didn’t like how so many screencasts on Youtube were sped up so much.
I did still speed this up to help keep the file size down, but Scott slowed down the important parts where I am working on the details. He kept the full length to about 10 minutes, too, so it doesn’t fly by in just 2 minutes! Hopefully this is a happy trade-off.
